The opportunity to go on a Romantic Vacation in Italy should be taken maximum advantage of. Italy by nature is a classic destination of choice. The country has so much charm because of the:

  • People
  • Language
  • Food
  • Scenery
  • History
  • Landscapes
  • Fun things to do
Doing things the way Italians do is something you should seriously consider and immediately adopt if you want firstly to really enjoy yourself and secondly and more importantly to embrace the culture and the true spirit of the Italian people. You will most certainly be more genuinely welcomed.

People travel to Italy and fall in love with the language, the people, the food and the perceived lifestyle. There is a strong degree of passion in the way Italians think and act. They have strong emotions and are very charismatic in the way they express themselves. Italian body language is very evident. The eyes are also very expressive. Italian people are essentially a fun loving people who have a wonderful and diverse culture.

There are many astonishing buildings of immense historical significance that are really breathtaking to view and a genuine pleasure to personally witness in the year 2010. In Rome (capital city) (the Eternal City - buildings like The Pantheon, The Coliseum, Piazza del la Republica, Castel Sant Angelo, Trevi Fountain, St Peter's Basilica, Vatican City are all awesome reminders of a bygone age. Practically every street corner in Rome has something magical.

In Florence there is much historical beauty also. Buildings from the Renaissance period and all the following: Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Della Signoria, Galleria Degli Ufizzi, Palazzo Pitti, the Cathedrals Duomo, Cupola and Battistero and the Churches San Lorenzo, Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce.
It's a stunning city
The city of Venice is totally unique with it's street waterways. Famous for it's buildings on the river - also has distinct reminders of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit - Piazzo San Marco, Academia, Palazzo Ducale, Bridge of Sighs, Burano, Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal, travel on the very special gondolas and visit Chiesa Di Santa Stefano.

Naples by contrast has diverse culture - originally founded by the Greeks and then taken over by the Spanish - it has the influence of both cultures. Be sure to visit the Duomo, Palazzo Reale and some amazing museums like Capidomonte Gallery and the Archaeological Museum. Naples is the birth place of Pizza so it's an absolute must to eat a stone fired Pizza in Naples.

The city has a beautiful bay - probably one of the finest in Italy. From Naples it is easy to reach Herculaneum and Pompeii. You are on the door step of the Neopolitan Riviera - Including such jewels as Amalfi, Positano, Maori and Sorrento. Make a point of visiting the beautiful islands of Capri and Iscia.
The other major Italian cities of major note are Milan and Turin both of which you wish to visit if you have the time and money to spare.

Your visit to Italy would not be complete without experiencing the excellent food and wine. The restaurants are normally of a high standard and dining out is usually a very special treat eating at different cafes and restaurants. Dining out in Italy is very much a romantic experience when you are with your wife or partner.
Be sure to enjoy your trip to this delightful country.
My best,
