  1. Keukenhof Gardens and Amsterdam are synonymous. Keukenhof is the flower capitol of the world, covering 79 acres of breathtaking beauty. More tulips are shipped from Keukenhof than any other place in the world. Springtime is the best time to do this beautiful floral paradise. It is easy to spend the day viewing over 7 million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths.

  2. The Van Gogh Museum is a "must see" venue for any art lover. Over 200 paintings and 500 drawings from Vincent and his contemporaries Gauguin, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec and Bernard. The museum displays Van Gogh's life from Amsterdam to Paris and finally to Arles. When he left Amsterdam, his works were dark. When he got to Paris, his paintings began to take on color, and when he finally got to Arles, he reached the height of his creative career. The world lost a truly brilliant artist when Vincent took his own life in a fit of depression.

  3. There was light in the dark days of Hitler's brutal reign during World War II. The Anne Frankhuis was one of those lights. It was in this house that a Dutch Jew, Otto Frank and his Jewish family until near the end of the war, when they were mysteriously betrayed and sent to their deaths. They hid in the achterhuis (the rear house) in almost complete darkness and were forbidden to make a noise during the day for fear of being found by the Nazis. Anne read Charles Dickens' work to try to keep her sanity. The sad story is told in a visit to this incredible place.

  4. The Rijksmuseum contains over 5,000 works of art from the masters during the 15th to 19th century. The incredible Night Watch painting by Rembrandt will keep you spellbound. The Rijksmuseum Café and a lovely gift shop can give you a day of absolute beauty. It is unlikely that you will ever see a more impressive museum anywhere in the world. People come here from all over the world just to visit the museum.

  5. The Amsterdam Canal Ring is the three rings of canals that formed small islands when they were created and are connected by beautiful bridges. Canal boats are the best way to explore the many fantastic canals of Amsterdam, where one can see the incredible Dutch buildings along the canals.

  6. The Rembrandt House Museum was once the home of this renowned artist created such work as the Night Watch. The renowned artist and his family lived here for 20 years before declaring bankruptcy. Today the museum has been restored to its original beauty.
